Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has strengthened its international digital cooperation agenda through a series of high-level meetings on the sidelines of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum, engaging with Sudan, the United Nations, ICANN and TikTok to advance collaboration on digital transformation, internet governance and digital inclusion.
Held during the WSIS Forum 2026 in Geneva, the discussions focused on expanding partnerships in areas including digital infrastructure, internet governance, digital skills, responsible technology adoption and cross-border cooperation.
