SK Telecom announced that it has joined Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, a security-focused initiative that provides select organizations with access to advanced frontier AI systems.
Effective June 3, the South Korean telecommunications giant has been granted access to Claude Mythos Preview, Anthropic’s latest and most advanced AI model currently available through the program.
According to SK Telecom, participation in Project Glasswing will support efforts to strengthen the security of its core infrastructure and services. The company plans to use the model to proactively identify potential risks and improve defenses across its telecommunications and AI systems.
As one of South Korea’s largest telecom operators, SK Telecom said the collaboration aligns with its broader responsibility to protect the digital services relied upon by tens of millions of users. The company also stated that insights gained through the project could contribute to enhancing the country’s overall cybersecurity posture.
SK Telecom emphasized that all testing and evaluation activities are being conducted under the governance frameworks and operational protocols established by Project Glasswing. The company said these measures are designed to ensure that emerging AI technologies are deployed safely, securely, and responsibly.
