Joyn launches subscription tier Joyn+ in Austria

Joyn is introducing a paid subscription tier in Austria for the first time, adding premium channels and public broadcasters to its line‑up as the platform marks its third anniversary.

The new offer, Joyn+, launches in May 2026 and sits alongside the existing free service, which remains unchanged. In Germany, Joyn has offered a subscription model for several years.

The Austrian streaming platform, operated by ProSiebenSat.1 Puls 4, has grown to 1.4 million monthly video users and now carries more than 150 live channels, including national and regional broadcasters. According to Joyn, usage has more than tripled in watch time and video views since its launch in 2023.

Joyn+ offers additional pay‑TV channels such as ProSieben Fun, Sat.1 Emotions and Kabel Eins Classics, as well as more than 20 public broadcasters including ARD, ZDF, 3sat and ARTE, where available in HD. The tier also includes extra Joyn originals, seven‑day previews of selected programmes, fewer advertising interruptions and a download function for offline viewing. The service costs €8.99 per month or €6.99 per month with an annual subscription.

The free tier continues to offer the full existing line‑up, including ORF, Puls 4, ATV, ServusTV and a wide range of regional channels, plus more than 70 on‑demand libraries and over 40 radio stations.

Joyn is available via joyn.at, mobile apps and all major smart TV platforms.
