Tele Columbus opens Smart Infoscreen platform to third-party operators

German cable operator Tele Columbus has expanded its digital tenant communication business by making its PŸUR Smart Infoscreen available to other network operators through a new white-label partnership model.

The product, marketed under business division PŸUR Business, has already been installed more than 6,000 times in residential buildings across Germany, according to the Berlin-based company. The screen is designed to replace traditional notice boards in apartment entrances, allowing landlords and housing associations to send building-specific updates to residents in real time.

According to Tele Columbus, the vandal-resistant display includes certified fire protection standards that allow installation in escape and rescue routes. The system is managed through a content management platform and can be upgraded with premium features such as local public transport departure times, service listings and multilingual translation tools.

Until now, the Smart Infoscreen had only been offered to Tele Columbus housing-sector customers. Under the new model, third-party network operators in all existing PŸUR sales regions will be able to market the service to their own clients, supported by Tele Columbus staff trained in rollout and implementation.

Tele Columbus cited a recent deployment with WBG Reichenbach in Reichenbach as evidence of market demand. The company said it installed 151 Smart Infoscreens there within a year after convincing the housing cooperative of the benefits of digital tenant communication.

“With the Smart Infoscreen, we offer the housing industry a product that noticeably simplifies and modernises daily communication with tenants. The project in Reichenbach shows how quickly and smoothly such a rollout can succeed, and how great demand in the market is,” said Christian Biechteler, Chief Sales Officer Housing Industry & Infrastructure at Tele Columbus. “We look forward to scaling this successful model nationwide together with other network operators.”

Tele Columbus reaches around three million households in Germany and operates consumer services under the PŸUR brand, offering broadband, telephony and television services.
