MasOrange has deployed Viaccess-Orca technologies to expand IPTV and OTT services with targeted advertising and multi-brand offerings, including the VO Secure Video Player and the company’s cloud-native Service Delivery Platform that serves as the backend for an ad-supported, multi-brand environment.
The rollout supports three TV brands — MASMOVIL TV, Yoigo TV and PepeTV — across IPTV and OTT, offering entertainment and live sports, including top-tier football. Viaccess-Orca’s client- and server-side ad insertion integrates with Broadpeak’s SaaS platform and SDK to enable multi-device delivery, multi-ad server support and reliable tracking.
“At MasOrange, we are strengthening our TV services in a way that benefits both viewers and content partners,” said Ignacio García-Legaz, TV director. “Working with Viaccess-Orca provides a dependable framework for targeted advertising while keeping the viewing experience consistent across every brand and device we support.”
MasOrange uses VO’s segmentation tools to target ads using geographic, demographic and behavioral criteria sourced from set-top boxes, mobile and TV apps, backend systems and approved third parties. Pre-roll and mid-roll formats are active across IPTV and OTT, with additional formats and broader multi-vendor integrations planned in a second phase.
“This deployment gives MasOrange the flexibility to manage advertising across IPTV and OTT with accuracy and efficiency,” said Thomas Kohler, CEO, Viaccess-Orca. “By integrating VO’s ad insertion solutions, segmentation tools and Secure Video Player with Broadpeak’s infrastructure components, MasOrange can deliver ads more relevant to viewers without disrupting their viewing experience.”
