Six Palestinian startups to showcase AI and IoT solutions at GITEX Africa 2026

A delegation of six Palestinian startups specializing in artificial intelligence, IoT, and digital payments will participate in the fourth edition of GITEX Africa, commencing this Tuesday in Marrakech. The participation is supported by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency (BMAQ), the executive arm of the Al-Quds Committee chaired by King Mohammed VI of Morocco, in collaboration with Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform.

The selected companies, vetted by experts from Al-Quds University, represent a diverse cross-section of the Palestinian innovation ecosystem. The delegation includes:

AI & EdTech: Burhan (AI-supported psychological assessment for career guidance) and App Grow (digitization of nursery services and parent-caregiver communication).

E-commerce & Marketing: HowAISees, which leverages AI to enhance digital marketing and retail experiences.

HealthTech: Labebo, offering remote therapy and rehabilitation for children via interactive 3D technologies.

Fintech: QREDIT, a digital payment platform tailored for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

AgriTech/IoT: Hives 360, which uses Internet of Things (IoT) sensors for smart monitoring and data analysis in beekeeping.

The BMAQ pavilion will host these startups through April 9, 2026, facilitating one-on-one meetings with Moroccan and international investors to explore market access and strategic partnerships. This initiative aligns with the agency’s 2024–2027 digital strategy, which aims to economically empower Palestinian youth and institutionalize innovation as a driver for social development in Jerusalem.

Since launching its digitalization strategy in 2024, BMAQ’s innovation incubator has supported 34 Palestinian startups. The strategy is built on five pillars, including the “Bayt Morocco” documentation platform, the Dalala e-commerce site, and a comprehensive distance learning system.

Editor’s Note: The inclusion of Palestinian startups at GITEX Africa highlights the growing importance of “South-South” tech diplomacy. By providing an international stage for these firms, Morocco is positioning itself as a strategic gateway for Levantine tech talent to access African and Mediterranean markets, particularly in niche sectors like AgriTech and specialized AI.
