Kathmandu. Nepal Telecom has launched international VoLTE roaming services for its mobile users in Denmark and South Korea.
The telecom company announced the commencement of this service in these two countries through a press release issued.
For this service, Nepal Telecom has signed commercial agreements with 'Telenor' in Denmark and 'SK Telecom' in South Korea.
Previously available in Canada, the United States, Australia, Luxembourg, Israel, and Taiwan (ROC), the service now extends to a total of 8 countries with the addition of Denmark and South Korea. The telecom is providing this facility by contracting with a total of 9 service providers in these countries.
Under the international roaming service, users can utilize voice, data, and SMS services just as they do in Nepal, using their Nepal Telecom SIM while abroad. Through VoLTE technology, users can experience high-definition quality voice calls.
According to Nepal Telecom, to use this service, the customer's mobile set must support VoLTE, and this feature must be activated on the mobile.
If the service is not active, customers need to dial *444# from their mobile and select the 'Activate VoLTE' option.
