During the Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exposition (OFC), Lightwave, a leading global optical networking media outlet, announced the Honorees of the annual Lightwave Innovation Reviews. Huawei secured nine awards across multiple categories, including its OptiXtrans DC908 Pro product, Next Generation OTN Solution, OptiXtrans E6600 OTN & QKD Integration Solution, OptiX OSN 1800 I X product, OptiX OSN 9800 P32CM product, OptiXaccess MA5800T product, NCE-T Transmission Digital Map Solution, AI Service Home Hub product, and FTTO Suite Solution.
With these nine awards, Huawei emerged as the most honored vendor at this year's event, marking the second consecutive year it has achieved this distinction — a testament to Huawei's leadership in optical network technologies.
Lightwave has been presenting the Innovation Reviews Honorees for many years, with a judging panel composed of operators, analysts, vendors, media, engineers, and academic researchers. It is recognized as one of the most influential technical awards for optical networks. Huawei's nine honored products and their respective categories are as follows:
OptiXtrans DC908 Pro — DCI Platforms Category
It enables ultra-broadband, simplified, and intelligent all-optical interconnection between distributed data centers. The single-wavelength rate can reach up to 2Tbps, and the single-fiber capacity can reach up to 96Tbps. The innovative 1+2 optical line protection (OLP) can protect services against two fiber cuts. The Storage-Optical Connection Coordination (SOCC) Solution optimizes the protection performance of storage and optical links, greatly reducing anomalies in financial transactions.
Next Generation OTN Solution — Optical Transport Systems Category
It builds a secure, resilient, and elastic transmission foundation enabling "one-click access, on-demand computing", and provides three-dimensional sensing of services, networks, and optical cables, evolving toward “intelligent pipes” with self-sensing, self-decision, and self-optimization capabilities.
OptiXtrans E6600 OTN & QKD Integration Solution — Optical Transport Systems Category
The E6600 series delivers quantum encryption against eavesdropping and tampering attacks with only one board, without requiring extra devices, network management systems, or optical fibers. It safeguards mission-critical services in sectors such as electric power, transportation, and government.
OptiX OSN 1800 I X — Optical Transport Systems Category
As the industry's first 1 U 100G optical-electrical integrated device, OptiX OSN 1800 I X integrates two 100G line ports and bidirectional ROADM optical layer on the system control board. It supports 2M–100G service access, high-density ports, and large-capacity transmission. It also enables one-click service provisioning, smooth evolution from 10G to 400G, and outdoor deployment, enhancing deployment flexibility.
OptiX OSN 9800 P32CM — Optical Transport Systems Category
As the first compact OXC device, it supports all-optical switching to the edge, achieving 1 ms computing interconnection. Equipped with enhanced WSON, it enables fast optical-layer recovery within milliseconds and automated O&M, providing a “zero-latency” all-optical foundation for services like cloud gaming and large model training.
OptiXaccess MA5800T — FTTH/Optical Access Platforms Category
As the ultra-broadband intelligent OLT, MA5800T supports 8-/16-port symmetric/asymmetric 50G PON Combo high-density deployment, and enables smooth upgrades with zero ODN changes. It uses 1T backplane to support 200G PON evolution, intelligent boards to visualize and optimize user experiences, and APP-Flow to provide differentiated experience assurance for various applications.
NCE-T Transmission Digital Map Solution — SDN/NFV/Cloud Category
Based on the automatic resource check and StellarGo model, it provides differentiated route recommendations based on bandwidth, latency, and reliability. It enables minute-level service provisioning to accelerate network monetization. During network maintenance, the solution identifies potential network risks such as co-cable and single-node faults based on the optical network quality assurance model, and automatically provides optimization suggestions, reducing faults by 40%.
AI Service Home Hub — Wi-Fi Solutions Category
It integrates FTTR and Wi-Fi 7 technologies to support whole-home Wi-Fi speeds of up to 2000Mbps. It also supports real-time conversion of local 2D videos to 3D, allowing users to enjoy a wealth of intelligent home services. It also supports the deployment of AI Agents from operators and Huawei, creating an intelligent home service portal and assisting operators in popularizing AI services.
FTTO Suite Solution — Wi-Fi Solutions Category
It integrates the all-in-one OLT and all-scenario Wi-Fi 7 optical APs to provide full coverage for campuses. Its innovative FTTO Planner supports one-click intelligent planning, helping customers improve user experience, planning, delivery, and O&M. By leveraging the seamless roaming coordinated network (SRCN) technology, the solution ensures uninterrupted connectivity in campuses. It has been widely used in education, healthcare, hotel, and manufacturing scenarios.
