T-Mobile’s free MLB.TV subscription returns for 2026

T-Mobile is no stranger to handing out freebies to postpaid customers. Probably the most popular of them all is the yearly free MLB.TV subscription the company offers. Baseball fans can cheer for joy as T-Mobile’s favorite freebie is set to return once more for the 2026 season.

Starting Tuesday March 24 and available through March 30, current and new T-Mobile customers can get a free MLB.TV subscription for the 2026 season (a $149.99 value) through the T-Life app, allowing you to stream out-of-market Major League Baseball games live or on demand.

In addition to the live games, subscribers also get access to MLB.TV’s other content, including baseball documentaries, classic programming, World Series films, news, highlights, and archived games.

It’s not a perfect solution, however. The subscription is still prone to typical “blackouts,” meaning that if you reside within a team’s designated “home territory,” you can’t watch those games on the MLB.TV app. For example, I live in Sacramento, so if I wanted to watch a Kings game, I’d still have to watch them on another approved service, like my standard cable TV.

The MLB.TV service determines these blackouts “by using geo-location tracking on your device to detect your IP address.” Every other game, however, is still eligible, and every qualifying line on your account gets its own subscription!

Some people might be inclined to pass along a few of their MLB.TV subscriptions to friends and family. After all, if you have a dozen lines on your account, might as well share the love.

There’s just one thing to be aware of. In the past, customers who have signed up via the T-Mobile offer have had their MLB.TV accounts disabled for streaming content on carriers other than T-Mobile.

So if you plan to hand out a free subscription to your friend that has AT&T, be sure to tell them to always use it on Wi-Fi.

Ball fans should keep an eye out when the sign-up period opens on March 24 and get in on the deal before it ends on March 30. Oh, and don’t forget to grab those week’s T-Mobile Tuesdays perks while you’re at it too. Speaking of which, keep an eye out for news here at The Mobile Report of a particular Tuesdays physical freebie coming soon.

Speaking of ball, do y’all have any fantasy leagues going? I’m not a sports guy, but I’d love to know who you’re rooting for. Let us know in the comments below!
