Agreeing the partnerships at Capacity Middle East this week, Batelco by Beyon aims to strengthen Manama IX, the Kingdom of Bahrain’s first and only Internet Exchange Point (IXP).
Manama IX will be strengthened across two critical dimensions, the company said, including network security and global content connectivity. As a result, it will reinforce the IXP’s position as a scalable and future-ready regional interconnection hub.
Tata Communications has joined Manama IX as a peer and strategic security partner, enabling the introduction of advanced, high-performance DDoS mitigation services. The solution is designed to deliver carrier-grade protection, ensuring service continuity.
Additionally, Tencent has been onboarded as a new tenant at Manama X to expand the exchange’s global content and network ecosystem. Tencent will support the IXP to enhance regional connectivity and reduce latency for networks in Bahrain and the broader Middle East. The companies said the collaboration will support growing demand for reliable and efficient content delivery.
