Dubai Media has launched Dubai+, a homegrown, free streaming platform built for Emirati and Arab audiences, marking a shift from traditional TV to on-demand digital viewing.
Approved by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the platform aims to strengthen Dubai’s creative economy while serving as a digital hub for culturally relevant, family-friendly entertainment.
Dubai+ offers around 30,000 hours of content, including Emirati and Arab series and films, international programmes, reality and cultural shows, children’s content, documentaries, and live sports streaming from Dubai. New titles are added regularly, with users able to download content for offline viewing.
Available on iOS, Android, and Smart TVs, Dubai+ is completely free, with no subscription fees at launch. Rather than competing with global platforms, it positions itself as a complementary service focused on local storytelling, heritage, and regional voices often underrepresented on international streaming services.
