Joyn is expanding its children’s offering with a major content agreement covering 2,433 episodes, after striking its first licensing deal with Studio 100 International.
The agreement, of which financial details have not been disclosed, delivers 48 series and 10 films to the German streaming platform, which is owned by ProSiebenSat.1, effective immediately.
The package significantly boosts Joyn’s kids catalogue and includes titles such as Blinky Bill, Ghost Rockers, Hotel 13 and Miffy, alongside classic adaptations including Emil and the Detectives and Max & Moritz. All series will be available free of charge on the platform.
“With our first deal with Studio 100, we are closing the biggest kids content deal for Joyn so far and can now offer our youngest viewers high-quality entertainment at any time,” said Thomas Lasarzik, EVP Group Content Acquisitions & Sales at ProSiebenSat.1.
Martin Krieger, CEO of Studio 100 International, added: “With this extensive package, we are making a substantial contribution to strengthening Joyn’s family offering while increasing the reach and visibility of our brands with a broad audience.”
