Morocco’s Ministry of Digital Transition and Administrative Reform signed an agreement with La Marocaine Électronique des E-Services to launch the pilot phase of the “E-Gov Wallet” solution. The signing took place in Rabat during the national “AI Made in Morocco” event, underscoring the Kingdom’s commitment to digital innovation and public service modernization.
The agreement initiates a controlled pilot in the Rabat–Salé–Kénitra region, enabling authorities to evaluate the platform’s technical performance, security standards, regulatory compliance, and user adoption. The phased approach allows the government to test the effectiveness of digital public services before considering nationwide deployment.
This initiative forms part of Morocco’s broader e-government strategy, aimed at modernizing administrative services, strengthening citizen trust in digital platforms, and reinforcing digital sovereignty. By gradually integrating secure and user-centric solutions, the government seeks to enhance the quality, accessibility, and reliability of public services.
The “E-Gov Wallet” represents a strategic milestone in Morocco’s long-term digital transformation agenda, combining innovation, security, and usability to ensure public administration becomes more efficient, transparent, and citizen-focused.
