Manhattan TV has announced the Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely, a new streaming device designed to bring the UK broadcasters’ free streaming platform to any television over Wi-Fi.
The British manufacturer says the box enables access to Freely without an aerial or satellite dish, delivering more than 60 live channels and over 75,000 hours of on-demand programming, including content from BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 and 5. The platform is backed by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
Aero runs TiVo OS, combining Freely with major global streaming services including Netflix, Disney+ and Prime Video, alongside YouTube and other apps. The device also includes TiVo+, providing access to 400+ free streaming channels and a catalogue of free on-demand films and TV shows.
In November, Netgem relaunched its PLEIO puck as a streaming device, and Broadband TV News is aware of least one other manufacturer preparing to launch a Freely product.
Manhattan positions the Aero as a simple way to upgrade existing sets, particularly in rooms with Wi-Fi coverage but without an aerial feed. The streamer supports 4K output and offers voice search via TiVo Voice, with a unified search spanning live and on-demand content.
Alex Arbab-Zadeh, COO for Manhattan, said: “Freely is a brilliant new platform that delivers Great British Telly over broadband with no monthly bills – but there are lots of TVs out there that don’t have it built in. Aero fixes that. Just connect to Wi-Fi and you’ve got live TV, catch-up and all your favourite streaming apps – a simple, affordable way to upgrade any TV without having to replace it.”
Everyone TV chief executive Jonathan Thompson said the device will broaden access to Freely ahead of a busy year for TV viewing. “We’re thrilled to expand Freely with the launch of the Manhattan Aero 4K TV streamer device, available in February. Our research shows that viewers who can’t yet stream Freely are eager to do so, and with the new Manhattan Aero, even more people can enjoy the same Freely experience found on TVs – bringing all their favourite live and on-demand TV together, for free, over Wi-Fi.”
Manhattan cites research pointing to rising demand for Freely, including a forecast that it could become the UK’s largest TV device platform within 5 years, and YouGov findings suggesting more than 70% of Samsung and LG users want Freely on their next TV.
The Manhattan Aero 4K TV Streamer with Freely will retail at £69.99 and is due to go on sale in February 2026 through retailers including Currys, John Lewis and Amazon.
