Ethio Telecom to expand telehealth services as 4G reaches 93 more cities

Ethio Telecom plans to extend its telehealth services to an additional 200 hospitals, following the expansion of its 4G network to 93 more cities.

Yohannes Getahun, Ethio telecom’s director of enterprise solutions, said the operator is working to build a fully digital Ethiopia across all sectors, with a particular focus on healthcare.

The initiative forms part of Ethiopia’s wider digital transformation programme, under which the government aims to improve the quality and reach of healthcare services, especially in rural areas.

According to Tech Africa News, the 4G upgrades will cover locations including West Ridge Nkemt, Bako, Shambu, Nejo, Dembi Dolo and Gimbi.
