Mobi Egypt secures Es’hail-1 satellite capacity to enhance VSAT connectivity across MENA

Es’halSat has announced that Mobi Egypt has signed an agreement to use Ku-band capacity on the Es’hail-1 satellite, located at 25.5° East. The deal supports Mobi Egypt’s full migration of its communication networks to Es’hailSat’s high-powered satellite, improving coverage and service reliability across Egypt and the wider MENA region.

The partnership marks Es’hailSat’s continued expansion in Egypt beyond broadcasting and into VSAT connectivity, supported by its two satellites at the 25.5°/26°E orbital slot and its 50,000 sqm Tier-4 certified teleport facility in Doha. With more than 15 years of experience serving broadcasters, telecom operators, enterprises, mobility customers, and governments, Es’hailSat provides a robust platform for high-performance regional connectivity.

Mobi Egypt, a licensed VSAT operator and major telecom infrastructure provider, specializes in network build, system integration, managed services, and mission-critical satellite connectivity for industries including oil & gas, banking, and public institutions. Its portfolio includes nationwide telecom infrastructure, data center services, and secure, high-availability communications.

Es’hailSat President & CEO Ali Ahmed Al‑Kuwari said the agreement strengthens regional high-speed connectivity and reinforces the company’s commitment to Egypt as a key market. He highlighted that Es’hailSat’s reliable data services and Tier-4 teleport infrastructure give Mobi Egypt a strong platform to expand its capabilities and better serve customers across the region.

Es’hailSat, established in 2010 and fully owned by the Qatar Investment Authority, operates the Es’hail-1 and Es’hail-2 satellites at the MENA broadcasting hotspot of 25.5°/26°E, supported by a secure, high-capacity teleport delivering satellite, broadcast, and managed services across the region.
