Kuwait is committed to accelerating digital transformation and will host an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Hackathon next February, Kuwaiti state news agency KUNA reported, as part of its coverage of the Innovation Day Forum.
Speaking at the forum, Sundus Bushahri, General Manager of SAP Kuwait, announced the first hackathon in partnership with Kuwait University. According to Bushahri, the initiative will bring together government agencies, universities, and emerging innovators to develop advanced AI solutions.
SAP is a German multinational company specializing in enterprise software, cloud solutions, and technical support services, with operations worldwide. Recently, the company signed a memorandum of understanding with Kuwait’s Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT) to equip young people in the country with future-ready skills.
At the Innovation Day Forum organized by SAP, Kuwait’s Minister of State for Communications, Omar Al-Omar, highlighted the government’s commitment to accelerating the country’s digital transformation and building a modern system to boost governmental efficiency and support a competitive national economy. He emphasized that digitalization has become a key pillar for strong economies.
