Edotco Bangladesh announced that it has signed a new five-year space and power lease agreement with tower firm Summit Communications that it says sets the groundwork for a more integrated infrastructure model for accelerating tower rollouts,.
Under the renewed agreement, Edotco and Summit will collaborate to support a more efficient build-out of high-capacity, low-latency transmission between sites across Bangladesh.
Edotco said the agreement provides the structure and shares operational framework needed to support acceleration of a long-term plan to coordinate with Summit more seamlessly on rollout plans.
Edotco said this will enable faster development of new sites, smoother integration of colocation opportunities, and better preparation for 4G and 5G-ready infrastructure as network demand grows. It will also ensure that mobile operators have the performance and stability required for modern services.
Edotco also said the partnership with Summit unlocks greater opportunities to serve rural and semi-urban areas, where demand for reliable connectivity continues to rise as communities shift toward digital services.
Edotco added that between their respective tower networks and Summit’s nationwide fibre backbone, the two companies aim to strengthen the integrity of Bangladesh’s end-to-end connectivity chain and align their individual strategies toward the common goal of providing a strong and scalable foundation for Bangladesh’s digital growth.
