Telkomsel says it has struck a partnership deal with Indonesian smart home solutions firm BARDI to implement its dashcam smart device as an IoT-based vehicle security solution for Indonesia’s automotive and manufacturing sectors.
Under the deal – which was signed at last week’s ‘Simbiosis Bisnis’ event in Jakarta and announced by Telkomsel on Tuesday – Telkomsel Enterprise will integrate BARDI’s dashcam with its IoT service, which processes the bundling, activation, and IoT SIM card management. This will enable the dashcams to connect to Telkomsel’s 4G network as soon as they’re activated.
Telkomsel will also provide features such as data usage monitoring, package renewal, centralized customer service, and an integrated subscription payment system. The telco also offers flexible service implementation, which allows businesses to tailor the technology to their specific operational needs.
BARDI CEO Michael Saputra said the dashcam smart device enables vehicle users to monitor security in real-time, record surrounding activity, and access data through an integrated application.
“Through this collaboration, we aim to deliver IoT device solutions powered by 4G connectivity that not only enhances user safety and experience but also expands the adoption of IoT technology across the automotive and manufacturing sectors,” Saputra said in a statement.
