Hearst FAST channels join Trailblazer TV

Hearst Networks has expanded its free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) footprint in the UK with the launch of five channels on Trailblazer TV, the FAST platform operated by Go See TV.

Mystery TV, Inside Crime, History Hunters, Deal Masters and World War TV are now available to stream free on Trailblazer TV, which is carried on Freeview channel 253. Trailblazer TV positions itself around high-adrenaline factual and entertainment content and is delivered as an IP-streamed service within the Freeview guide.

Hearst Networks said the deal marks a further step in its FAST distribution strategy, aimed at making its factual entertainment brands available to wider audiences. The company operates themed channels across true crime, the unexplained, history and collectibles, drawing on franchises such as The First 48, History’s Greatest Mysteries and The Curse of Oak Island, as well as original commissions.

Julie Mitchelmore, VP Product and Commercial Partnerships at Hearst Networks, said the company’s FAST channels are built around “curiosity, authenticity, and pace”, and described Trailblazer TV as a good fit for that positioning.

Go See TV founder and CEO David Greener said the partnership supports Trailblazer TV’s aim of bringing “world-class content to Freeview audiences through next-generation FAST and hybrid TV experiences”, and argued that FAST can now deliver premium factual storytelling at scale via free-to-air distribution.

Go See TV operates a portfolio of IP-delivered channels on Freeview, with Trailblazer TV listed alongside other streamed services in the 250+ range of the platform’s electronic programme guide.
