Chunghwa Telecom announced that it will add 4MHz frequency band speeds to its 900G LTE service. This will be combined with the existing 1800MHz frequency band to provide wider coverage and provide greater network bandwidth in conjunction with carrier aggregation (CA) technology.
According to the announcement by Chunghwa Telecom, it will add 4MHz frequency band speed to its 900G LTE service from now on. It will be able to provide wider coverage by combining with the existing 1800MHz frequency band, and provide greater network bandwidth by cooperating with carrier aggregation (CA) technology.
At the same time, Chunghwa Telecom also stated that the current base station construction has spread across 22 counties and cities and 368 townships in Taiwan, including outlying islands such as Penghu, Kinmen, Matsu, Xiaoliuqiu, Green Island, Orchid Island and the most remote Wuqiu Township, as well as high mountain or rural areas such as Yushan and Hehuanshan, all of which have provided 4G LTE signal services.
Currently, Chunghwa Telecom will be able to use the 1800MHz bandwidth of the original 15MHz band and the maximum 900MHz bandwidth of the 10MHz band that is now officially open for use to further experience faster Internet access through LTE-Advanced carrier aggregation technology (CA) and mobile devices that support this technology.
In addition to Chunghwa Telecom, telecom operators including Far EasTone Telecommunications and Taiwan Mobile will also gradually provide carrier aggregation applications in their 4G LTE services, allowing users to access the Internet with more abundant bandwidth. At the same time, they will also follow up with the introduction of VoLTE digital voice applications in the future, allowing users to have clearer voice transmission effects.
