Synology unveils next-gen enterprise solutions to strengthen cyber resilience in the UAE

Synology, the Taiwan-based leader in network-attached storage (NAS) and data management solutions, unveiled a suite of advanced enterprise products at its Solution Day 2025 event in Dubai, introducing new innovations designed to enhance cyber resilience, data protection, and IT efficiency across hybrid environments.

At the event, attended by over 200 industry professionals, Synology showcased its latest DP7200 and APM1.1 releases, alongside updates to its ActiveProtect platform. These upgrades deliver expanded workload support, stronger data immutability, and simplified compliance mechanisms — crucial for organizations facing rising cyber threats.

The company highlighted cutting-edge features such as Write Once, Read Many (WORM) technology and network isolation tools, which reinforce air-gap security and prevent unauthorized data deletion. Together, these innovations support a 3-2-1-1-0 backup strategy, incorporating offsite backups and immutable copies to ensure uninterrupted business continuity and long-term data integrity.

Synology also introduced the PAS Series, featuring active-active dual controllers and full NVMe architecture for high-availability performance, and the GS Series scale-out system, offering petabyte-level scalability across multiple nodes to meet growing enterprise data demands.

Regional Survey Findings: Gaps in Cyber Preparedness

During the event, Synology unveiled the results of its 2025 Enterprise Survey, revealing significant cybersecurity vulnerabilities among Middle East and Africa (MEA) organizations:

Fewer than 18% of enterprises feel fully confident in addressing rising cyber threats.

32% experienced data loss or security incidents in the past year.

70% of IT leaders cited security as their top infrastructure priority.

63% identified data protection and disaster recovery as key growth drivers, though an equal percentage cited cost constraints as barriers to resilience.

These findings underscore the pressing need for integrated, cost-efficient solutions that balance performance and protection in hybrid environments.

Driving Digital Transformation and AI Integration

Antoine Yang, Regional Sales Manager at Synology, said: “Enterprises in the UAE are embracing hybrid cloud models for flexibility and innovation, but managing them securely remains a challenge. Our mission is to empower organizations with solutions that merge security, scalability, and cost efficiency to achieve true cyber resilience.”

Beyond storage and backup, Synology showcased its expanding AI-driven productivity suite, including real-time collaboration tools, unified messaging, and video conferencing within the Synology Office Suite. The company also revealed its AI Console, which enables integration with on-premises AI servers and customizable AI agents for workflow optimization.

“In markets like the UAE, where control and scalability are critical, our approach ensures that data stays local, protected, and easily managed — giving enterprises the flexibility to grow confidently,” Yang added.

With its latest product lineups, Synology reinforces its commitment to helping enterprises navigate complex digital transformations while maintaining top-tier resilience, compliance, and operational continuity.
