ZainTECH, Zain Kuwait, and ZOI launch Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute on Azure Marketplace

ZainTECH, the integrated digital solutions arm of Zain Group, in partnership with Zain Kuwait and Zain Omantel International (ZOI), has announced the launch of Microsoft Azure ExpressRoute on the Azure Marketplace, marking a first-of-its-kind collaboration among Zain entities and a major milestone in Kuwait’s cloud ecosystem.

The new listing allows government and enterprise customers in Kuwait to directly procure secure, private, and compliant connectivity to Microsoft Azure via the Azure Marketplace. Customers with existing Azure agreements can use their Microsoft Azure consumption credits to purchase ExpressRoute, simplifying the procurement process and accelerating cloud adoption.

ExpressRoute delivers dedicated, low-latency connections to Microsoft data centers in the UAE and Europe, ensuring high-performance cloud connectivity for mission-critical workloads. It provides enhanced data security, guaranteed data residency, and full compliance with Kuwait’s national regulatory standards — critical for sectors managing sensitive information and public infrastructure systems.

This collaboration sets a new benchmark for cloud connectivity in Kuwait, combining the strengths of ZainTECH’s digital transformation expertise, Zain Kuwait’s network leadership, and ZOI’s international infrastructure. It aligns closely with Kuwait Vision 2035, supporting the nation’s drive toward cloud-first government operations and digital innovation across public and private sectors.

Andrew Hanna, CEO of ZainTECH, emphasized the strategic importance of the launch:

“Helping governments and enterprises become more digital, intelligent, and resilient is what all Zain entities aim for. The availability of ExpressRoute on the Azure Marketplace is a game-changer for customers in Kuwait. It removes friction from the procurement process and makes it easier than ever for entities to leverage Microsoft’s cloud, using their existing agreements and credits. This is how we accelerate real transformation—by combining secure, high-speed connectivity with operational simplicity.”

The initiative further underscores ZainTECH’s commitment to enabling next-generation infrastructure capabilities that enhance resilience, modernization, and cloud innovation across the region.
