Rota Verde Goiás accelerates digital transformation with TIM's network on over 400 km of highways

Concessionária Rota Verde Goiás, responsible for managing highways BR-060 and BR-452, is advancing the digitalization of its road infrastructure by integrating TIM's 4G coverage along 426.2 km of the route between Goiânia, Rio Verde, and Itumbiara. The new connectivity infrastructure will provide greater comfort and safety for drivers traveling on the highways, as well as digital inclusion for approximately 2.4 million people in 32 municipalities and 37 neighboring districts, including 9 public schools, 4 healthcare facilities, and 5,000 rural properties.

In total, 58 sites are planned for the Rota Verde Goiás stretch, of which 35 TIM towers are already operating near the cities. Now, to ensure coverage along the entire route, 23 new sites will be installed, guaranteeing continuous, high-performance connectivity by October of this year in one of the country's main logistics corridors, essential for grain transport. More than just meeting regulatory requirements, this coverage enables technological solutions that enhance road safety, provide faster response in emergencies, and enhance the concessionaire's operational efficiency.

Rota Verde Goiás takes another step toward consolidating a modern, technological road management model. "Brazil is increasingly advancing in the integration of infrastructure and telecommunications. Our partnership with TIM is part of this new scenario. Technological connectivity is one of the fundamental pillars of our goal of elevating the level of road service provision. It will accelerate the digital inclusion of the population, regional economic development, and sustainable growth. With this, we hope to contribute to the promotion of citizenship and business competitiveness," says Vaney Iori, managing director of Azevedo & Travassos Investimentos.

TIM, the leader in 4G coverage in Brazil, already connects more than 7,000 kilometers of highways, and the partnership with Rota Verde brings the company even closer to its goal of 10,000 kilometers by the end of the year.

"Connectivity is a strategic driver of modernization for concessionaires, promoting inclusion and stimulating regional development. TIM is proud to participate in the development of highways under the Rota Verde Goiás concession, reaffirming its role as an agent of digital transformation in strategic sectors of the economy, such as logistics," says Fabio Avellar, Vice President of Revenue at TIM Brasil.

TIM's coverage will enable everything from remote equipment monitoring to intelligent traffic management, integrating networks, data, and systems for real-time communication. Among the innovations is the Free Flow system—a technology that enables electronic toll collection without the need for physical toll booths—which will also be enabled by TIM's 4G network. Sensors and cameras enable vehicles to be identified and payments processed automatically, bringing greater fluidity, comfort, and safety to drivers.
