GlobalLogic and Plus say they have launched an independent Ericsson Private 5G campus network in the GlobalLogic facilities in Krakow, a solution that, Plus says, provides a secure and intelligent foundation for new applications in the field of Industry 4.0.
The new network supports advanced AI-based analytics, video analytics, and smart fixed asset management. The project was implemented as part of cooperation between Plus and GlobalLogic and the long-term partnership between Ericsson and Plus. Ericsson Private 5G will enable GlobalLogic to further develop and implement industry solutions based on next-generation technologies.
Plus describes this first implementation of an independent private campus network 5G, in cooperation with GlobalLogic and Ericsson, as an important stage in the development of its offer for business customers.
Plus also points out that this is also a fulfilment of an announcement, made with Ericsson at the beginning of the year, about the construction of independent, private 5G networks in Poland and another step towards digitisation and the implementation of Industry 4.0 solutions.
The Ericsson Private 5G solution, based on a single dual-core server, provides secure and efficient connectivity. It enables the rapid implementation of local data protection systems and the handling of demanding industrial tasks that require minimal delays, high reliability and advanced data control.
Yuliia Shtukaturova, Vice President of GlobalLogic responsible for the Europe Region, says: “Cooperation with Ericsson and Plus is a turning point for GlobalLogic. The successful implementation in our facility in Krakow and the development of advanced solutions confirm the great transformation potential of this technology for our customers from various industries. We are enthusiastic about new opportunities and want to continue pushing the boundaries of what is achievable through secure and efficient connectivity.”
