Samsung TV Plus has added four new Dutch FAST channels in partnership with Netherlands-based provider Your Channels.
The line-up includes VI TV (Voetbal International TV), the first 24/7 Dutch football channel, and three decade-themed music services – Your 60s, Your 70s and Your 80s. All four channels are now live on the free ad-supported streaming platform.
VI TV, developed with PXR (publisher of Voetbal International), WPP Media, Talpa Media and Your Channels, offers continuous football coverage including news, analysis, highlights and the popular Monday round-ups of the weekend’s matches.
The music channels feature remastered content, concert footage and interviews built around the biggest artists of the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
Your Channels CEO Jefta Lentz said the move responds to growing advertiser demand for connected TV inventory, while CCO Natalie Boot described the channels as “only the beginning” of a broader local FAST line-up.
Samsung TV Plus country lead Benedikt Frey added that the partnership will support the platform’s strategy of expanding its locally relevant content in the Netherlands.
Further channel launches from the collaboration are planned for the coming months.
