Integratel Perú has been awarded a 100 MHz spectrum block for the development of 5G technology, which will enable ultra-fast connections, low latency, and the ability to connect millions of devices simultaneously.
This technological foundation will drive advanced digital solutions that will transform production processes and the competitiveness of Peruvian companies.
The company has been rapidly preparing its network for this evolution through a modernization plan that has upgraded 1,400 antennas and will continue vigorously throughout the 2026-2027 period. With this preliminary development, it has completed the implementation of the infrastructure to deploy 5G as soon as its implementation is authorized.
Currently, under the Movistar Empresas brand, Integratel Perú offers digital solutions that will be enhanced by this technology. These include a personnel identification service using cameras that verify the use of personal protective equipment in restricted areas. With 5G, these tools will be able to operate with greater bandwidth, offering clearer images and near-real-time readings, which will automate access control, generate immediate alerts, and reduce human intervention. Similar to this case, Peruvian companies will be able to innovate, optimize their processes, and generate new business models.
As part of the investment commitments made in the award of the 5G spectrum, Integratel Perú will bring 4G to 437 rural locations and connect 545 kilometers of roads in the country. It will also provide 5G to 92 public entities, including hospitals, schools, and Pan American Games venues. In this way, Integratel Perú will help more citizens, companies, and institutions access the benefits of modern connectivity.
