ZTE Corporation (0763.HK / 000063.SZ), a global leading provider of integrated information and communication technology solutions, has participated in the SAMENA Leaders's Summit 2025 held in Dubai, UAE.
The SAMENA Council (South Asia, Middle East & North Africa Telecommunications Council) , established in 2006, is a key industry organization focused on telecommunications and ICT in South Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa. Its flagship event, the SAMENA Leaders’ Summit, is one of the most influential telecom industry gatherings in the Middle East, drawing policymakers, operators, technology providers, and industry experts from around the globe each year.
The summit highlights cutting-edge trends, technological innovations, and market opportunities in both regional and global ICT industries, aiming to drive digital economic development and foster collaboration and resource sharing among its members. In 2025, with global attention turning toward 2030, and the SAMENA region accelerating its digital transformation, a paradigm shift is needed in how countries envision and pursue ICT advancement.
At the SAMENA Leaders' Summit 2025, ZTE showcased its latest 5G-Advanced, 50G PON fixed broadband network, AI computing products and solutions, and a full range of AI terminal devices, operating under the theme "Catalyzing Intelligent Innovation."
Chen Qiong, CTO of the MEA Region at ZTE, delivered a speech closely aligned with the summit's theme of driving digital transformation in the Middle East and Africa. Focusing on ZTE's "Network + Computing + AI" integrated solutions, he emphasized how this approach can effectively address the region's diverse ICT development needs.
Chen Qiong pointed out that ZTE's "Network + Computing + AI" synergy provides end-to-end intelligent solutions crucial for industries aiming to enhance efficiency and innovation. In the Middle East, where countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE are leading digital economy initiatives, these solutions can support advanced applications in smart cities and industrial automation. In Africa, where the digital divide remains significant, the integrated approach can help build a more inclusive digital infrastructure, enabling broader access to digital services.
Drawing parallels with ZTE's successful practice, such as the "using 5G to manufacture 5G" model at the Binjiang 5G Smart Manufacturing Base, Chen Qiong highlighted that by leveraging connectivity, computing power, and AI capabilities, ZTE is committed to collaborating with regional partners. This, he noted, is in line with the SAMENA Summit's goal of fostering cooperation to achieve sustainable digital growth, and will contribute to co-creating a resilient digital ecosystem in the MEA region.
Guo Qi, RAN Technical and Strategy Director at ZTE, and Hans Neff, Senior Director of the CTO Group at ZTE, also shared their valuable insights on 5G and sustainable development at the roundtable and panel discussion, respectively.
ZTE took center stage with an expansive display of its latest wireless, fixed network, AI computing, and terminal products. Operating under the theme "Catalyzing Intelligent Innovation," the company spotlighted its ongoing progress in implementing the "Connectivity + Computing Power + Capabilities + Intelligence" strategy.
