At GISEC Global 2025, Huawei Cloud unveiled its AI-native security portfolio to address the evolving cybersecurity landscape across the Middle East and Central Asia. As cyberattacks grow increasingly sophisticated, Huawei Cloud's comprehensive security solutions offer enterprises unparalleled protection through advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
At a media briefing on the sidelines of the event, Dr. Zhu Shenggao, Vice President of AI Business for Huawei Cloud Middle East & Central Asia, highlighted the company's strategic shift from cloud-native to AI-native technologies. "Huawei Cloud has now positioned AI at the core of our strategy. By transitioning to AI-native architecture, we're enabling organizations to defend against today's most complex threats with intelligent, adaptive security systems that evolve faster than the threats themselves," said Dr. Zhu.
"Commercial interests will never outweigh Huawei’s commitment to cyber and service security. With over 130 security compliance certifications worldwide, such as ISO 27001, ISO 27017, PCI DSS, and SOC, we've demonstrated our dedication to maintaining industry-leading security standards across all our offerings, Dr. Zhu stated.
Comprehensive AI-Native Security Solutions
Huawei Cloud security architecture is built upon a centralized framework with seven defense layers, ensuring robust service resilience. It features two flagship solutions – Large Model Security, powered by Data Security Center (DSC), and SecMaster.
Key security challenges addressed by Large Model include:
• Environment security: Build a network, identity, and resource protection system.
• Data security: Prevent training data pollution and leakage, ensure privacy protection during inference, and protect data sovereignty.
• Model security: Prevent model asset theft and optimize the model security mechanism through enhanced training.
• Content security: Defend against prompt attacks and ensure content compliance, with watermarking techniques.
• Security operations: Enable comprehensive situational awareness via a unified view, global collaboration, automatic handling, and content risk control and operations. Providing a large model security screen and report.
The Large Model Security empowered by Data Security Center (DSC) represents a breakthrough in cloud-based data protection designed to secure large AI models and sensitive enterprise information. The system provides advanced classification of sensitive information using AI-driven pattern recognition, delivers proactive security risk detection and remediation capabilities, employs sophisticated watermarking technology for leak tracking and attribution, and offers intelligent data masking to enable the safe utilization of private information. The DSC consolidates all security operations into a unified dashboard, providing security teams complete visibility and control over their cloud data security posture.
Meanwhile, SecMaster is a cloud-native solution for more intelligent, measurable security operations that helps build security operations capabilities with Huawei’s 30 years of experience. This solution incorporates over 300 AI-powered threat detection models that continuously adapt to emerging threats and more than 100 automatic response playbooks for immediate threat mitigation. The solution utilizes seven distinct lines of defense working in concert to provide comprehensive protection while delivering fully automated security operations that reduce response times and human error.
SecMaster represents the culmination of Huawei Cloud's security expertise. By harnessing the power of AI across every aspect of security operations, Huawei Cloud enables organizations to stay ahead of cybercriminals in an increasingly complex threat environment, including situational awareness, asset management, compliance self-check, threat management, security information and event management (SIEM), and security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR).
Huawei Cloud is also hosting informative speeches on May 6 and 7, sharing insights into the future of AI-native security. On May 6, the company will present an executive boardroom session on the latest advancements in AI-driven security and Huawei Cloud security solutions. On May 7, Eagle Wan, Chief Security Expert of Enterprise Digitalization and Cloud Transformation, Huawei Cloud, will participate in the prestigious Government Leaders Panel Discussion, exploring how AI-powered security solutions can strengthen national cybersecurity postures.
As the Lead Strategic Partner of GISEC Global 2025, Huawei, a global leader in information and communications technology (ICT), is showcasing its comprehensive AI-powered cybersecurity solutions at Hall 5, Stand A180, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). Taking place from May 6-8, 2025, GISEC Global is the Middle East and Africa’s largest cybersecurity event, bringing together over 25,000 cybersecurity professionals from more than 160 countries to address evolving threats in an increasingly AI-driven landscape.
