Beyond Connectivity 2017 to be held in Muscat on March 16th

Dubai, March 14, 2017 - SAMENA Telecommunications Council's Beyond Connectivity (BYC) will be held in Muscat on March 16 and will be highlighting sustainability challenges, digital economy, digital services, regional digital transformation, and cross-border communications. The larger purpose of Beyond Connectivity is to help promote the growth of the telecommunications sector in Oman and in the region, and to stimulate innovation and improve value. Under the theme “Building Corridors in Digital Development to Fulfill National Commitment”, thought-leaders representing leading telecom operators and technology providers along with regulators and policymakers are gathering in Oman on March 16 at Al Bustan Palace.

Beyond Connectivity is being hosted and exclusively Diamond-sponsored by OMANTEL and Platinum-sponsored by ETISALAT.

“The digital communications industry is a game-changer for any nation's economy", said Bocar A. BA, CEO, SAMENA Telecommunications Council. “Much more needs to be done to make better use of telecom network investments and, for that, all the stakeholders have to come together and discuss ways to move forward by considering current realities and challenges", BA added.

The Conference agenda includes five special panel discussions to address important areas of the industry's business, which require multi-stakeholder discussion and open dialogue.

This year, Beyond Connectivity will witness the participation of Oman's government sector leadership, alongside a number of eminent national, regional and international industry professionals of the region.

SAMENA Council is looking forward to warmly welcoming the Excellencies and the region's Private Sector decision-makers and professionals to Beyond Connectivity.
