Versa Technology is pleased to announce a new addition to its Power over Ethernet Injector Line, the VX-Pi1000Gb PoE Injector. The VX-Pi1000Gb is an IEEE compliant 802.3af Power Over Ethernet Injector which provides DC 48V over Ethernet cables. The new device inserts DC Voltage into Cat.5 cable, allowing the cable between the injector (VX-Pi1000Gb) and Splitter to transfer data and power simultaneously. In short, the VX-Pi1000Gb combines the Ethernet digital data with power over the twisted pair cables eliminating the need for a power source at the terminating end of the cable run.
Unlike the existing Power Over Ethernet Injectors the VX-Pi1000Gb provides 1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet connection ability, except the 10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet connection ability. The Versa Technology VX-Pi1000Gb is perfect PoE Injector for PoE ready 802.11n Wireless Access Points. 802.11n has maximum of 300Mbps bandwidth under best condition. 802.11n will operate around 130Mbps under normal condition. The VX-Pi1000 both the bandwidth and power for 802.11n Wireless Access Points.
The VX-Pi1000Gb VX-1000GB provides DC 48V power over RJ-45 Ethernet cable to device with Ethernet port with LED indicators for power input indication. The injector can send power to a PoE device up to a distance of 100 Meters. Unlike competitors equipment the VX-Pi1000 has an auto-detect for POE IEEE 802.3af equipment and devices. This feature prevents equipment from being damaged by incorrect installation.
The VXPi1000 Works with EIA568, category 5, 5e or 6 ,2/4-pair cables for 10Base-T or 100Base-TX and 1000Base-T EMI standards. The injector complies with FCC, CE class B and 802.3af standards at operating tempetures 0°C~50°C, 5~90% RH.
