Feras Al-Shaikh, Director for Consumer Sales at Nawras, has been named as one of the top three HR Champions of Change in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, at this year’s MENA HR Excellence Awards held in Dubai. The award recognises Feras’ contribution to developing a performance-driven culture at Nawras, where people drive high levels of employee performance, engagement and shared goals to better serve their customers.
The award symbolises Nawras’ commitment to building the capabilities of family members within the fast-paced communications industry. Nawras was the first in the Ooredoo Group, a leading international communications company, to establish a ‘People Experience Department’ to manage HR functions. The department is charged with developing world class skills and communications throughout the organisation and provides a structured framework to develop talent through innovative career strategies, tailored training opportunities and a careful mentoring process.
The sixth annual MENA HR Excellence Awards celebrate outstanding achievements by regional HR professionals. The awards form part of the Human Assets Expansion Summit MENA, now in its ninth year, which connects professionals in the field to address pressing issues in the industry and share knowledge to enhance delivery of leading HR practices across the Middle East and North Africa.
