Tata Sky launched Video on Demand service for HD subscribers

Tata Sky, the direct broadcast satellite television provider in the month of March 2013 launched Video on Demand service for its Tata Sky+ HD subscribers.

Features of the service

• The new service comes up with the Do-it-Yourself (DIY)-Video on Demand tune-up which has 600 easy-to-learn videos, which the company plans to increase to about 1000 by 2014. Subscribers will be charged 5 rupees for a video.
• The VoD-DIY videos feature genres including craft, musical instruments, health and fitness.
• The content Do-it-Yourself (DIY) is highly curated and vetted by its internal content team.

The new service also come up with Catch Up TV - a service that allows its Tata Sky+ HD subscribers to watch their favourite TV show even after the original broadcast without the need to record.  This unique service will give subscribers access to select TV shows that can be downloaded from the Tata Sky server and viewed at their convenience.

The VoD movie library is an assortment of old and new movies that will be available to the subscriber for easy download. The library will host over 500-1000 movie titles across multiple genres and languages in digital quality.
