Batelco, Bahrain’s leading telecommunications company, in line with its ongoing commitment to support the Bahraini community has donated BD25,000 to the Bahrain Philanthropic Society.
The Society, which provides assistance to more than 2000 needy families throughout the Kingdom, relies on the support of Bahrain’s businesses and the generousity of residents to carry out its charitable work.
The donation cheque was presented by Batelco Group Chief Executive Shaikh Mohamed bin Isa Al Khalifa to Bahrain Philanthropic Society Board Member Mr. Jassim Murad, during a meeting held at Batelco Headquarters in Hamala , recently.
“The donation forms part of Batelco’s annual donation programme which ensures the funding of several worthy initiatives,” said Batelco Group General Manager Media Relations Ahmed Al Janahi
“We are delighted each year to make many contributions to the Bahraini community. The support for the needy families is without doubt a very worthwhile initiative that is highly appreciated by the recipients,” added Mr. Al Janahi.
Bahrain Philanthropic Society General Secretary Mr. Hassan Ebrahim Kamal extended his great appreciation to Batelco for their financial support saying that he and the members of the Philanthropic Society made every effort to achieve the very best results with the funds provided to them in helping as many families as possible.
Mr. Murad and Mr. Kamal were accompanied at the meeting by a number of the Bahrain Philanthropic Society representatives; Aref Jamsheer, Tariq Salman Kamal, Lamya Ahmed Mahmood and Ahmed Khalifa Fouad.
