Russian regional telecommunications operator Uralsvyazinform (Utel) has reached 26,000 subscribers for its new IPTV service "Utel.TV", launched a little over two months ago.
The service offers 97 linear channels (including five in high-definition and one in 3D), and a sizeable video-on-demand library of 625 standard-definition titles, 322 HD titles and 12 3D titles.
Utel.TV also offers time-shifting, network PVR (nPVR) capabilities, multi-language audio on seven channels, parental controls, the ability for each user in the household to create their own user profiles, and information services including weather, traffic, exchange rates and horoscopes.
Utel is owned by Svyazinvest and serves the Urals Federal District and the Perm Krai.
