UNESCO and Jordan’s Ministry of Education convened a Digital Transformation Collaborative (DTC) Analysis Workshop in Amman to support a system-wide approach to digital education reform focused on equity, inclusion, and improved learning outcomes.
The workshop brought together representatives from government entities, development partners, and education and technology stakeholders to examine how digital tools can better support national education priorities. Participants worked through UNESCO’s Six Pillars Framework for Digital Transformation in Education—leadership, cost, connectivity, capacity, content, and data—to identify gaps, challenges, and opportunities across the system.
Speaking on behalf of the Ministry, Engineer Munib Tashman of the Queen Rania Al-Abdulla Educational Technology Center highlighted the need for strategic planning and cross-sector collaboration to ensure digital initiatives deliver tangible benefits for learners. UNESCO Representative to Jordan Noha Bawazir reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to providing evidence-based policy support and fostering partnerships that place equity at the centre of digital transformation.
The session forms part of UNESCO’s global Digital Transformation Collaborative under the Global Education Coalition, created to help countries align digital investments with education priorities and accelerate progress toward Sustainable Development Goal 4 on quality education.
