The Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) has recorded major progress over the past two years in modernising its operations to deliver more efficient digital services to citizens and residents across Kuwait. Key achievements include the continuous registration of all members of society, the issuance of unified national ID cards for both citizens and residents, the assignment of a unique identification number for every individual, and the provision of vital information and statistical data services to government entities.
Among PACI’s most significant initiatives is the launch of the “Unified Platform for Data Exchange between Government Entities,” a centralised system designed to enhance efficiency and strengthen cooperation across public institutions. The platform eliminates the need for paper-based document verification by enabling real-time digital data sharing between government agencies.
PACI has also expanded the infrastructure of the Sahel application to accommodate growing demand and ensure compatibility with modern IT systems. In parallel, the Electronic Lease Contract project now provides a digital framework to regulate and monitor leasing agreements by standardising the registration process for contracts and property owners. This initiative facilitates commercial transactions and ensures clear, regulated relationships between all parties involved.
Looking ahead, PACI is also introducing artificial intelligence technologies to automatically update data for the Geographic Information System (GIS), further reinforcing Kuwait’s push toward smart government services and data-driven decision-making. These projects collectively reflect PACI’s commitment to keeping pace with global digital standards and strengthening public service delivery.
