For Hazardous Areas with a Zone 2 classification, Guardian is pleased to present their newest product offerings, available in both keypad and ringdown versions. Encased in a rugged IP66 housing, customers can utilize them as desktop phones or they can easily configure them for wall mount applications. Meeting ATEX Zone 2, Zone 22 requirements, these phones are designed to operate in a wide range of temperature conditions (-30°C to +60°C). With an IP66 rating they can be used both indoors and outdoors providing you with increased flexibility. The DTT-30-Z and DTT-40-Z come standard with a speaker phone, keypad and backlit LCD display. The design of the oversized keypad enables users wearing gloves to easily operate the phone. With the simple push of a button, a user can switch into hands free mode. The keypad provides volume control buttons, link, redial, release and flash. With a 20 number memory and 10 quick dial capability it is designed to meet the needs of all users. The handset is available in a curly cord or armored cord version. A built-in ringer as well as an internal ring detect relay are also standard offerings – the ring detect relay can be used to trigger a line powered loud ringer or visual warning device if this is better suited to your environment. The DTR-31-Z and DTR-41-Z are the ringdown versions of this telephone and have all of the features listed above except for the keypad and hands free capability. Calls from these telephones are directed by the PABX and the call is activated by simply lifting the handset. The handset, available in both curly cord and armored cord versions, has a built-in manual volume control. The Zone 2 telephones can be ordered in custom colors if required.
