Mada Infinity Offers Unlimited Calls/SMS/MMS and 3GB of Mobile Broadband and for 39 Rials a Month
Muscat: Oman Mobile has launched Oman’s first ever “Unlimited” price plans with the introduction of its Mada Liberty and Mada Infinity packages that will give customers the freedom to speak and interact with friends and relatives for longer and more often than ever before.
Mada Liberty is Oman’s first ever pay per call service with the plan priced at just RO 4 per month and offering unlimited duration of calls made to Omantel and Oman Mobile numbers at a fixed price. Customers can now speak for as long as they want for a flat rate per call of 59 bz a call with the new post paid service.
The Mada Infinity price plan enables subscribers to enjoy unlimited telephone calls, SMS, MMS, and video calls to other Omantel and Oman Mobile numbers; and up to 3GB of 3.5G mobile broadband for the fixed price of RO 39 per month.
An additional benefit for subscribers will be a reduction in the SIM Card price for Mada from RO 7 to RO 2 and the removal of the RO 3 connection fee that used to apply for Mada products.
Introducing “pay per call” instead of “pay per minute” with the launch of Mada Liberty allows customers the freedom to speak to friends and relatives across the country with the peace of mind of knowing they pay the same price for the call if it is just for one minute or for an hour or more. The new post paid service has a flat rate per call of 59 bz.
The pioneering Mada “Unlimited” price plans were officially launched by Omantel CEO Dr. Amer Al Rawas at a press conference in Muscat as the company continues to launch exciting new initiatives.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Amer said: “Our new Mada Liberty and Mada Infinity price plans are a first in Oman and the region, and are a direct response of listening to the demands of our customers and ensuring that we continue to introduce innovative products to bring our customers closer together across the country.
“The Mada Liberty price plan gives our customers the chance to connect to a community of nearly 2.3 million Oman Mobile and Omantel subscribers with the freedom to talk to friends and family for as long as they want to with a single call.
“As Oman’s population becomes increasingly mobile the Mada Liberty plan will help friends and families stay more closely connected than ever before. This is a first of its kind in the GCC region and we are confident that our new and permanent post paid price plan will attract new customers to subscribe to the service.”
Dr. Amer explained that Mada Infinity has been created to deliver excellent value to heavy users of mobile internet and voice services, offering the peace of mind that there was no limit to the number of calls, SMS and MMS messages they could make per month – with the ability for relatively heavy mobile broadband use as well. Uniquely in Oman this offers unrestricted use of the services to customers.
Both of the Mada price plans will be particularly attractive to Oman Mobile customers as the plan will allow them to connect not only to other Oman Mobile customers but to every Omantel fixed line subscriber as well.
Commenting on the new Mada price plans, Omantel’s Vice President Consumer Business Unit, Rao Chagarlamudi said: “We have created these innovative new Mada Liberty and Mada Infinity price plans to allow our customers to spend more time with the people they love. There is now nothing to hold people back from spending more time chatting on the phone or the internet with their closest friends and family wherever they are in the country.

This new initiative will mean that our customers can stay on the line together for the longest conversations ever. The launch of the new price plans forms part of our intent to deliver an enhanced customer experience.”

The new Mada Liberty and Mada Infinity post paid products are another practical step taken by Omantel in line with its intent to offer an enhanced customer experience following the launch of its enhanced brand and “Together” tagline.
The company is now embarking on a phased plan to rebrand its business and operations and has already launched a new integrated Omantel website - www.omantel.om – and will rebrand its buildings in the coming few months and subsequently revamp its stores.

• Mada liberty: This plan features an innovative charging method where the customer will be charged per call -for On Net calls- rather than the conventional method of charging per minute. This will be applicable to calls made to Oman Mobile and Omantel numbers (mobile and fixed). Mada Liberty subscription fee for would be R.O 4 per month.
• Mada Infinity: This is the unlimited communication plan. Unlimited voice & video calls, Unlimited SMS & MMS to all Oman Mobile and Omantel numbers, and 3GB of free mobile broadband. All that for an incredible monthly subscription fee of R.O 39 per month.
