Morocco’s Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports and Samsung Electronics Maghreb Arab have signed an amendment to their partnership agreement to further strengthen digital education and innovation across the country.
Signed in Rabat by Ilham Laaziz, Director of Educational and Digital Resources at the ministry, and Hong Seok Lee, President of Samsung Electronics Maghreb Arab, the renewed agreement aligns with Morocco’s 2022–2026 education roadmap, which prioritises deeper integration of digital technologies into the learning environment.
The signing coincided with the awards ceremony for the second national Python programming competition organised jointly by the ministry and Samsung. Teams from across Morocco participated, with Drâa-Tafilalet securing first place, followed by Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra.
The initiative is part of the Samsung Innovation Campus programme, which focuses on strengthening teachers’ skills in programming and artificial intelligence. In 2025 alone, more than 261 teachers were trained and certified in these areas. Since its launch in 2019, the programme has trained over 2,000 computer science teachers in Python, including hundreds directly by Samsung and others through regional training centres.
