Team Telecom Armenia is gearing up to ensure the availability of 5G network in Armenia, Team Telecom Armenia CEO Hayk Yesayan told a press briefing on the sidelines of the DigiTec 2022 Summit and Expo that kicked off in Yerevan.
He said the results of the first tender for the 700 MHz frequency for deployment of 5G network will be announced today and Team Telecom Armenia is the only company that has applied.
'We will be the first to get that frequency and we intend to use it to make the 5G network available," he said.
Yesayan said that within 2 years after winning the tender, 5G network will be available in Yerevan and several regional centers.
"We offer the best telecom connection today, providing quality services. Only our subscribers can have no problems with the connection during online gamming. Online gaming is a platform that shows the quality of connectivity, the slightest disruption in connectivity leads to problems for players," he said.
At the DigiTec Expo, Tam Telecom Armenia is showcasing the Next Generation Network with 25 Gb/s speed and Cosmo tariff packages unique for the region.
Visitors to the exhibition could try out TEAM's high-speed internet in the cloud gaming zone, where they could play the latest generation games through cloud technology.
