Media registration is open for the 2023 World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum, taking place from 13 to 17 March in Geneva, Switzerland.
The WSIS Forum is the world's largest multi-stakeholder platform on sustainable digital development. The event seeks to align technologies like artificial intelligence, the metaverse, big data and the Internet of Things with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This year's forum, featuring physical and online participation, promotes “WSIS Action Lines for building back better and accelerating the achievement of the SDGs." Topics will include digital health, smart cities, sustainability and resilience, and climate and environment standards for information and communication technologies.

MEDIA REGISTRATION:
- All journalists, including UNOG credentialed reporters, must RSVP at: pressreg@itu.int
- All journalists must have an ITU-issued WSIS Forum 2023 media ID to access the event
- WSIS Forum 2023 media IDs will be issued only at ITU headquarters (Montbrillant building; Rue de Varembé 2) [location]
- All journalists must go to ITU HQ first to receive media ID before accessing CICG
WSIS Forum 2023 is expected to attract participants from over 150 countries including representatives from government, civil society, industry, academia, the technical community, and intergovernmental organizations.
WSIS Forum 2023 is hosted by ITU in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
