Azerbaijani cellco Bakcell has announced the launch of a pilot 5G network in the city of Baku. Currently operating in test mode, the network is available at three locations in the capital – Fountain Square, Khagani Garden (aka Molokan Garden) and the Deniz Mall shopping centre. Customers with compatible Huawei, Xiaomi, OnePlus, Poco and Vivo smartphones can obtain a 5GB mobile data package for free when connecting to the 5G network.
