BankDhofar and Oman Towers Company have recently signed a financing pact worth OMR30 million, to finance the rollout of new telecom towers in the Sultanate over the coming years.
The agreement was mutually signed by Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, CEO of BankDhofar, and Eng. Majid Amor Al Kharoosi, Managing Director at Oman Towers, in the presence of executive management members of both sides.
On signing the agreement, Abdul Hakeem Omar Al Ojaili, CEO of BankDhofar noted: “As one of the leading Banks in the Sultanate, we have aligned our strategy with Oman Vision 2040. Thus, we have capitalised on partnerships with various strategic sectors. Today, we are glad to sign this agreement with Oman Tower Company, which plays a crucial role in enhancing the telecommunications infrastructure in the Sultanate. The partnership will enable the company to build a world-class infrastructure that will reflect in uplifting the quality of telecommunication services.”
Oman Tower Company provides various infrastructure solutions such as Greenfield towers, rooftops, in-building solutions and other innovative ideas for the 4th industrial revolution. Moving ahead with the coming technologies like 5G, IoT and others, OTC is working with suppliers of street furniture to accommodate future antennas.
