The Philippines’ third telco, DITO Telecommunity, has successfully passed its third mandatory technical audit to evaluate its network rollout in terms of population coverage and minimum average broadband speed.
In a brief statement, DITO confirmed the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) had informed it that it had achieved the requirements: a minimum 70.01% population coverage threshold and minimum average data speeds of at least 55Mbps. In reality, DITO reached 72.39% coverage with an average throughput of 71.77Mbps for 4G LTE and 801.19Mbps for 5G.
