Ooredoo holds collaboration discussions with ministerial delegations

Ooredoo Maldives has invited ministerial delegations from Maldives to discuss possible collaborations with Ministries and institutions in Doha, Qatar.

Ooredoo states that these discussions were held as part of the company's efforts to enrich the lives of communities across industries and to accelerate digital transformation in all operating markets. As such, the Chairperson of Ooredoo Maldives, Fatima Al Kuwari invited a ministerial delegation from Maldives and facilitated meetings with key Qatari Ministries and institutions in Doha, Qatar.

The company highlights that these meetings were initiated and facilitated by Ooredoo to share best practices and discuss possible collaborations for digital led progress between Qatar and Maldives.

The Maldivian ministerial delegation included Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Technology, Aminath Shauna, Minister of Education, Dr. Aishath Ali, Minister of Arts and Culture, Yumna Maumoon and state ministers from the Ministries.

Meetings were arranged with Qatari Ministries including; Minister of Education, Buthaina bint Ali Al-Nuaimi, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali Al Thani, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Mohamed bin Ali Al Mannai, Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Sheikh Abdul Rahman bin Hamad Al Thani.

Top management of Ooredoo group, accompanied by Managing Director and CEO of Ooredoo Maldives, Khalid Al Hamadi and Chief Commercial Officer of Ooredoo Maldives, Hussain Niyaz also joined the meetings.

In addition to the meetings held with the Qatar Ministries, Ooredoo also facilitated visits to key relevant institutions including the Qatar Foundation that featured a tour of the Qatar National Library to discuss ways to collaborate and upgrade the Maldives National Library.

Moreover, the delegation team from the Maldives also visited the Qatar National Museum, Katara Cultural Village that included tours of art galleries, workshops, exhibition areas, performance arenas, and other cultural museums.

Ooredoo states that the aim with these meetings is to exchange ideas and establish partnerships to further enhance the lives of the people of both Qatar and Maldives.
