brsk to extend FTTP rollout to West Midlands

Full fibre provider brsk, which has previously outlined plans to deploy fiber-to-the-premises (FTTP) technology to premises in Greater Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire has announced it is to extend its rollout to parts of the West Midlands. According to ISPreview, brsk’s FTTP deployment in the West Midlands is expected to cover approximately 250,000 homes and businesses, with initial locations set to benefit from the rollout reported to include: Brierley Hill, Cradley Heath, Dudley, Halesowen, Kingswinford, Northfield, Rubery, Selly Oak and Stourbridge.

Commenting on the company’s plans, Giorgio Iovino, brsk founder and CEO, said: ‘I am delighted to announce the kick-off of our fourth region as we continue to ramp up our build. Our consistently increasing build rates and focus on scaling up our operations to support our growing network have given us the confidence to open up a new front in the West Midlands. We are delighted with the feedback we are receiving from customers about their experience with brsk so far and look forward to connecting even more homes to better broadband.’

Previously, in April 2022 brsk reported having reached 27,000 premises with its infrastructure across parts of Greater Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire, with around 2,000 subscriptions by that date.
