Jurassic Fibre boosts FTTP rollout target as it aims to pass 500,000 premises by 2026

Exeter-based full fiber broadband provider Jurassic Fibre has announced that it is now aiming to reach a total of 500,000 premises with its fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) network. Announcing its expanded rollout plans to coincide with a visit to its headquarters by the UK’s chancellor, Rishi Sunak, Jurassic Fibre said it expects to achieve its coverage goal across 30 towns and villages in the South West of England by 2026.

Meanwhile, alongside outlining its future plans, Jurassic Fibre also confirmed a coverage milestone, revealing that its network now passes a total of 100,000 premises across 21 towns in Devon, Dorset, Somerset and Cornwall, up from the 90,000 it reported earlier this month and 75,000 in March 2022.

Commenting, Jurassic Fibre CEO Michael Maltby said: ‘Jurassic Fibre has achieved some phenomenal milestones in our short history, including connecting 100,000 South West-based households and businesses to ultrafast broadband in just four years … By increasing our commitment to 500,000 homes and businesses in the next four years, we are firmly demonstrating our dedication to both supporting the Government’s levelling up agenda and making the South West an attractive region to live, work, invest and visit.’
