Zain Bahrain, a telecommunications industry innovator in the Kingdom, entered a threeyear exclusive partnership with Bahrain Schools and Collegiate Athletics Association (BSCAA) to grow the Esports and gaming industry in the Kingdom.
The partnership will see Zain Bahrain hosting online and physical Esport events for school students across the Kingdom, including organizing bootcamps, tournaments and championships that will foster the growth and upskilling of gaming talents, as well as further developing their cognitive skills..
The signing ceremony was held at Zain Tower between Shaikh Abdulla Bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Zain Bahrain Director of Communications & Investor Relations, and Dr. Shaikh Saqer Al Khalifa, BSCAA president. Abdulla Bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Zain Bahrain Director of Communications & Investor Relations, commented: “The partnership also plays an essential role in developing interests and providing broad-based support for the local Esport ecosystem, which reflects the government’s keenness to hone the skills of the youth in concordance with Vision 2030.” Dr Shaikh Saqer Al Khalifa, BSCAA president commented: “The Esports scene has seen promising growth in Bahrain the past few years with high potential.
