Vyve Broadband to offer 10Gbps fiber in 25 new markets

Vyve Broadband has unveiled plans to expand its ‘Fiber Business Services’ product line to 25 new markets, including the likes of Central City, Nebraska; Paris, Texas; and Seminole, Oklahoma. The press release notes: ‘These new markets will have access to Vyve’s full suite of services including symmetrical fibre-based broadband with speeds up to 10Gbps to businesses of all sizes.’

As previously reported by CommsUpdate, Mega Broadband Investments united its portfolio of rural broadband companies – Eagle Broadband, Vyve Broadband and Northland Communications – under the Vyve Broadband name in the Spring of 2020. Subsequently, US cableco Cable ONE (Sparklight) agreed to acquire a 45% stake in Mega Broadband Investments from affiliates of private equity firm GTCR, for approximately USD574.1 million. The latter transaction was completed during the fourth quarter of 2020.

The ISP is understood to serve over 240,000 residential customers and around 18,000 B2B customers across its 16-state footprint.
